The first player from Menomonie won $50,000, while the second player from Baraboo added Power Play to increase their winnings to $150,000.

The winning numbers from the Wednesday, January 6, 2015 drawing were 2, 11, 47, 62, and 63.  The Powerball was 17 and the Power Play number was 3.  The winning tickets from Wednesday's drawing were sold at:

  • Superamerica at 1708 North Broadway in Menomonie ($50,000 winning ticket)
  • M & R Travelmart at 617 Pine Street in Baraboo ($150,000 winning ticket)

Since there was not a Powerball jackpot winner Wednesday night, the jackpot continues to grow.  The Powerball jackpot for Saturday night's drawing is now at $700 million – making it the largest Powerball jackpot in the game's history, as well as the largest jackpot of any lottery game in U.S. history.  If sales continue to be strong nationwide, the jackpot could be even larger for the Saturday drawing.  The $700 million comes to an estimated $428.4 million cash payout.
