Two Stabbing Incidents Being Investigated

The Milwaukee Police are investigating two separate stabbings that occurred Tuesday in Milwaukee.

According to the MPD, around 11:50 PM three individuals were walking along the street near S 7th and W Manitoba Streets when they exchanged words with the occupants of a passing car.  The people in the car confronted the three and the situation escalated into a physical fight.  During the fight a 23-year-old man was stabbed with a knife.  He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening wound.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.

Around 4:30 PM Tuesday, a 65-year-old man was stabbed after he become involved in a verbal confrontation with another individual.  According to the Milwaukee Police, the victim received a serious wound but is expected to survive the stabbing.  He is being treated at a local hospital.  The MPD says the incident occurred near  S 19th Street and W Hayes Avenue.  The suspect, a known offender, was arrested at the scene.   The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
