KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating after a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were shot during a home invasion in Kenosha around 12:30 Friday morning.
According to police, it happened near 61st Street and 24th Avenue. Investigators say the 23-year-old was shot in his leg while the 17-year-old was shot in the knee. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported that two people forced their way into the home and began shouting at the residents before shooting the two victims. The suspects got away before police arrived. Police do not believe the crime was a random act and think the people injured may know who's behind it. They do not believe the crime is drug related.
