WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Two men are facing charges after they allegedly stole textbooks from instructors' offices at several University of Wisconsin system schools.
The men allegedly targeted UW-Green Bay, UW-Whitewater, UW-Stout, and UW-River Falls.
The two men have been identified as Ryan Lewis, 35, and Genisis Garcia Abellar, 35, both from Houston, Texas.
According to the indictment, the two men shipped the stolen books to a business in Texas which in turn sold the books to college students.
This scheme was also allegedly carried out at colleges in Minnesota, North Dakota, Arizona, New Mexico, and Washington State.
Both face charges of conspiracy to transport stolen goods and interstate transportation of stolen property.
If found guilty, they each face up to 15 years in prison.
