Two killed, four injured in crash on Sunday

Two people are dead and four others are hurt after a hit and run accident on the south side.

It happened at about 2:30 p.m. near 84th and Wilbur.

Police say they took two teenagers, under the driving age, into custody. It's not clear if they were driving or not.

MPD is still searching for two to four more suspects.

 Early indications are that one vehicle ran through the intersection hitting two other cars.

After the crash police say a number of suspects, who may have caused the accident, took off running.

An off duty detective was flagged down by some witnesses who helped find the two suspects that are now in custody.

MPD said their accident reconstruction team will try and figure out a more clear picture of what happened here.  

As for the four people in the hospital, police explained that their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, but that could easily change.
