Two injured after Washington County taxi bus crashes into ditch in attempt to avoid accident

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A single-vehicle accident involving a Washington County taxi bus has left two people injured.

It happened shortly before 9 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of CTH E and Rolaine Parkway in Hartfor.d

Rescue personnel located the bus in the north ditch line, just west of Glassgo Drive. The bus was occupied by a driver and two passengers.

The driver, a 58-year-old West Bend man and one of his passengers, a 73-year-old Germantown man were taken to local hospitals for treatment of what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. 

The other passenger, a 94-year-old Richfield man, was not injured.

The bus driver told police that he was westbound on CTH E when an eastbound white Buick sedan crossed the centerline in the area of Rolaine Parkway. To avoid striking the sedan, the bus driver veered right and ended up in a ditch.

The crash remains under investigation.
