The vehicle initially stopped for officers, before fleeing the traffic stop. The vehicle then tried to get away from officers by crossing a median, swerving, and driving through traffic, before ending in a crash near South 84th Street and West Layton Avenue.
The driver, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody at the scene following the crash. A passenger of the vehicle tried to run away but was taken into custody by officers.
