GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people are in custody after a police chase and crash Monday evening.
Officers say they pulled a vehicle over in the area of West Forest Home Avenue and West Cold Spring Road just before 7:00 p.m. on April 1. The vehicle initially stopped for officers, before fleeing the traffic stop. The vehicle then tried to get away from officers by crossing a median, swerving, and driving through traffic, before ending in a crash near South 84th Street and West Layton Avenue.
The driver, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken into custody at the scene following the crash. A passenger of the vehicle tried to run away but was taken into custody by officers.
The driver of the vehicle hit by the suspect was treated on scene for minor injuries by the Greenfield Fire Department.
Charges against the driver and passenger and being reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
