Two Dead Following Two-Vehicle Crash In Sheboygan County

TOWN OF RHINE - On Wednesday November 16, 2016 at approximately 6:33 PM the Sheboygan County Emergency Dispatch Center received a call in reference to a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 57 and County Road FF in the Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County. 

On arrival of deputies the 79-year-old female passenger of the eastbound vehicle was found to be entrapped and deceased due to injuries received and the 80-year-old male operator was entrapped in the vehicle as well and died en route to Saint Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. Both were from rural Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. 

The 72 year old female operator of the northbound vehicle, from rural Kiel Wisconsin, had serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Preliminary investigation indicated that one vehicle was eastbound on County Road FF and failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with the vehicle traveling northbound on State Highway 57 in the intersection.
