MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people are facing charges in connection to the shooting death of Milwaukee activist, Camille Mays' son.
According to a criminal complaint, Jhaylen McCaskill is facing several charges including first degree intentional homicide. Devin Jones is also facing several charges including felony murder.
Mays' son Darnell Woodard II was shot near 44th and Center last month.
Mays is the founder of the Peace Garden Project which provides permanent memorials for crime victims. She is also a Milwaukee Crime Stoppers board member.
Court documents state Woodard, 21, was shot while sitting in a car conducting a drug deal. A passenger who was hurt in the shooting told police two men shot them during the incident. Authorities found drugs and money inside the victim's car.
McCaskill faces life in prison. Jones faces more than 30 years in prison.
