Twin Lakes Village Board votes to allow Officer Patla to keep K-9 'Rex'

TWIN LAKES, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Twin Lakes Village Board voted Monday, July 6, to allow Officer Joe Patla to keep K-9 Officer Rex.

Patla is leaving for a new job, but wanted to keep Rex.

The K-9 was brought home to Patla's family and grew up alongside him. 

The village originally voted to keep Rex.

After an outcry of support for Officer Patla, he was able to keep his best friend.
