MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hunger Task Force has partnered with Zurn Elkay Water Solutions for a monthlong fundraiser to help feed families on Thanksgiving. The Turkey Ticker kickoff aims to address the increasing need, with pantry traffic increasing by 30% across Milwaukee County.
Matt King, CEO of Hunger Task Force, and Jennifer Clearwater, community and public affairs manager for Zurn Elkay, joined us on Friday, Nov. 1 to discuss the initiative.
For every frozen turkey donated to Hunger Task Force in November, Zurn Elkay will donate another turkey to feed a local family in need. The public can purchase a turkey for $15 on the Hunger Task Force website.
