MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – As the government shutdown continues, sources within the TSA tell CBS 58 General Mitchell International Airport is not seeing a negative impact.
Unlike other airports, General Mitchell is not seeing an increase in sick calls from TSA agents.
Travelers at the airport on Tuesday said they were concerned about flying through some of the nation’s busier airports.
“We are flying from Milwaukee to Dallas and then to Montego Bay,” Jennifer Grandkoski said. “We have such a large group that I’m a little worried to get there on time for our flight.”
According to the TSA, 99 percent of passengers waited less than 30 minutes in line on Monday.
