MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee man is on trial for horrific sex crimes against two children. One of the victims was as young as 5 years old when the abuse started.

Sixty-five-year-old David Boyd is facing five felony charges for sexually assaulting, abusing, trafficking, and imprisoning two girls.

One girl was 8 years old when the abuse started; the other was just 5 years old. The abuse happened in Brown Deer and Milwaukee.

On Tuesday, jury members listened to hours of interviews from one of the girls that was abused. CBS 58 is not identifying the victims because they are both still minors. While listening to the interviews, some members of the jury got visibly emotional as one of the victims detailed the abuse.

Prosecutors showed two interviews in court Tuesday that one of the victims gave to forensic experts back in 2025. In the interview, the girl detailed that she and her older sister lived with their mom’s friend for a while. Boyd was the mom’s friend’s boyfriend.

In the interview, the girl stated that Boyd would get in the shower and rape her, including when she was sleeping. The girl also told experts that Boyd took her to another man who attempted to rape her. That man had paid Boyd $100.

In her interview, the girl stated she screamed and kicked until the man stopped and took the $100 back from Boyd.

She also stated Boyd would threaten to kill her, using a knife to cut her legs, arms, and private body parts.

Jury members will continue to hear more interviews from this victim, and a second victim, throughout the week.

Twice during the interviews with forensic experts, jury members watched the recording as one of the young girls prayed out loud, asking God for the strength to continue sharing what happened to her.

If convicted, Boyd could face more than 170 years in prison.
