Train hits 35th St. bridge on south side

MILWAUKEE -- Southbound lanes of S. 35th Street between Lincoln Ave. and Forest Home Ave. are temporarily shut down after a cargo train struck the 35th St. bridge.

The Milwaukee Public Works Department is on the scene assessing the damage to the 35th St. bridge.

Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan says Monday's accident should not have happened. He's concerned the bridge closure will have a major impact on the City's South Side.
