Town of Raymond barn and contents lost in Monday night fire

Racine County -

A barn containing farm equipment, gutter company supplies and hay is a total loss following a Monday night fire in the Town of Raymond, Racine County.   According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was discovered around 8:47 PM in a barn at 51st Street and N Cape Road.  When deputies arrived on scene, the barn was fully engulfed in flames.   Firefighters from the Town of Raymond, as well as, firefighters from surrounding fire departments fought to control the fire.  The barn and its contents were declared a total loss, but there were no animals in the barn at the time of the fire, and no persons were injured by the blaze.   The cause of the fire is under investigation.
