Toddler dies hours after being pulled from Racine pool

RACINE -- The three-year-old boy pulled unconscious from a swimming pool outside a Racine home has died.
Police say three-year-old Austin Lueck was pulled from a pool behind a home on the 2000 block of Shoop St. around 2:45 p.m. on August 10. Witnesses say the boy was not breathing and had no pulse when he was pulled out of the pool.
Three-year-old Lueck was transported to St. Mary's Hospital and then taken to Children's Hospital by Flight For Life. He was pronounced dead shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Officials believe this was an accident. According to a release, police believe the child may have climbed a support strap and fallen into the pool.
