Elkhart Lake will be vrooming with lots of activity starting this weekend as Road America opens for another season. The annual Spring Vintage Festival starts on Friday and goes through Sunday. More than 120 cars will be on the track, from muscle types of the 50s and 60s to modern era Formula 1 styles. I was lucky enough to see a few up close and personal Wednesday morning and actually got to sit in a '73 Chevron B23 courtesy of owner and racer Walter Vollrath.
There are several new features at this 640-acre site, including disc golf and added walking trails. Keep in mind kids 16 and under get in free. To find out more what Road America has to offer, from the Indy Car races in June to the NASCAR XFINITY Series in August, just click here.
