Three injured after two motorcycles collide in Manitowoc County

MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three people were injured after two motorcycles collided in Manitowoc on Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. on Old Y Road in the Town of Gibson.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a 2012 Harley Davidson being driven by a 58-year-old male from Luxemburg began to slow down when a second motorcycle, a 1995 Harley Davidson driven by a 67-year-old man with a 48-year-old passenger from Kewaunee, struck the first motorcycle.

The drivers of both motorcycles lost control and all three people were ejected into the roadway.

All three were taken to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries.

Heavy rain and alcohol are possible contributing factors to the crash, Wisconsin State Patrol says.
