MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Bucks fans are ready to see Damian Lillard in green.

"Oh, I've been literally screaming for the last 30 minutes in my apartment about how crazy this Damian Lillard trade is," Bucks fan Timmy Valley said shortly after learning about the blockbuster trade.

Lillard is a point guard Valley said the Bucks needed.

"I just think it was the perfect fit. We need some shooting around our team, and he's great," he said. "I think the game is evolving, and watching him shoot from deep is perfect. He brings it to the table."

While fans are excited to see the revamped starting lineup, one person who will not be on it is Jrue Holiday, as the Bucks traded him to the Trail Blazers. One fan tells CBS 58 he is sad to see Holiday go but agrees the team needed someone like Lillard.

"Jrue Holiday was a great player, but Damian Lillard, that's Mr. Ice in the veins," Bucks fan Joseph Jones said. "Basically, I see another championship. Bucks, Damian Lillard, Giannis. They're going to do good together. It's going to be great."

Jones said this trade was something he was waiting for.

"I'm excited. I'm ready for it. Damian Lillard. Been waiting a long time. It was supposed to been happen, needed to been happen," he said.

With Lillard, fans are confident the Bucks will be NBA champions once again.

"Bucks in six. Damian Lillard. Giannis. We gone take it," Jones said.
