"This should be fun:" 14-year-old Twin Lakes girl charged with attempted homicide after stabbing father
TWIN LAKES, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 14-year-old girl has been charged with attempted homicide after stabbing her father on January 13. The incident occurred after the girl and her father had been arguing about an online relationship she was involved in.
In the criminal complaint, police allege that Vivian Brayer was covered in blood from head to toe after she stabbed her father with a large kitchen knife.
The girl's mother told police she found out that the 14-year-old was talking to a 21-year-old man on Instagram. The parents confronted Brayer who then told them that he was her fiance. The next day the dad was laying down in the living room when his daughter stabbed him and then came toward the mother with two knives but threw them down. The father held the girl down on the ground by the front door while the mother called 911.
Police spoke with the father at the hospital who said he did not give his daughter permission to stab him in the face. The victim suffered injuries from his right eyebrow to his left eyelid.
While speaking with the girl police say she asked if they had ever "had any children in here like me that tried to murder their father?" Brayer later said that she didn't know what was going through her mind.
The suspect's mother found journals in her room detailing her relationship with the 21-year-old and her hatred of her father. In numerous journal entries, Brayer detailed how she was going to kill her dad with poison. The last entry listed in the criminal complaint was dated January 4 and said, "I'm murdering my dad again. It's back on! Lol. Once it's the right moment I will. So until then, I'm waiting for that moment. But this should be fun. Hehehe."
On January 30 while Brayer was in the juvenile detention center she had a phone call with her mom who asked if she could go back would she do it again. The mother reports Brayer said, "Yes, and I would have killed all of you if you got in my way."
