WAUWATOSA (CBS 58) -- The City of Wauwatosa issued a snow emergency Sunday Morning. During the snow emergency snow emergency, drivers are not allowed to park on city streets.
According to the public works department, it will be sending 22 snow plow trucks and 13 salt trucks to clear up the roads.
Many people in Wauwatosa got up early to get a head start on clearing their driveways and sidewalks.
"I was up early this morning to get things done for church. I did the first layer, now I am out here before the cold and wind this afternoon to get a head of it," said Steve Weber.
Across the street from Weber, Megan Marquis is shoveling her driveway so she can park her car since she can't park in the street.
"This is pretty normal. A snow emergency? I'd think it'd be 10 feet in Wisconsin," said Marquis.
Kids and adults also took advantage of the snow covered slopes.
"We haven't had a lot of snow this year. They've been anxious to get out here," said Erik Lindstrom.
Lindstrom brought his son, Call, to go sledding with a friend. Although Marquis spent her morning shoveling, she didn't seem to mind.
"Love snow, don't hate it and go outside and enjoy it," said Marquis.
