Third human case of West Nile Virus now reported in our area

SOUTH MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A third case of West Nile Virus has been reported in our area.

South Milwaukee Health Officials confirmed the first human case of the disease on Thursday.

Last week, two people in Waukesha and Milwaukee had contracted West Nile.

This is a bad summer for mosquitoes due to recent storms.

The best way to protect yourself is to stay indoors when mosquitoes are most active, apply insect repellent, and remove pools of water from your property.
