It's the question people have been asking for an entire day, what happened at Bradford Beach last night.

We now have new details on a shooting that involved a Milwaukee County Sheriff Deputy.

Sheriff David Clarke held a news conference Monday afternoon and talked about the incident at Bradford Beach.

"In the area of Lincoln Memorial Drive and East Water Tower Road, a deputy with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office used deadly force toward a vehicle in pursuit by a different Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy for a traffic infraction," said Sheriff Clarke during a press conference.

According to Clarke, the driver of the fleeing vehicle was a 19-year-old by the name of Terry Williams. He was shot in the head and is now on life support at Froedtert Hospital.

Paula McEwen was also in the car. She suffered two gunshot wounds and is expected to survive.

Clarke also identified the deputy who fired at the vehicle as 32-year-old Michael Truax.

He has been placed on administrative leave as the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department takes over the investigation.

"I would ask anyone who has witnessed this event or perhaps has some cell phone video that they could provide for us, we would be very interested in hearing from you," said Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson.

If you have any information or video to share, you're asked to call the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office at 262-548-7142.
