The Gingerbread House is stocked up on last-minute grab-and-go Easter treats
CBS 58 MUSKEGO, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Gingerbread House is a charming piece of history that continues to bring visitors to Muskego. The farmhouse built in 1885 is still welcoming guests 141 years later. Tracy Bohrer has maintained the rural roots of the quaint space.
But it’s not just the setting that keeps customers coming back—it’s the homemade food and baked sweet treats.
The bakery is known for its homemade breakfasts and fresh, seasonal baked goods.
Fan favorites include custard-filled éclairs made entirely in-house, along with a variety of cupcakes filled with vanilla Vienna cream or rich chocolate ganache.
For Easter, the menu features festive treats like egg-shaped cupcakes filled with raspberry Vienna cream, along with decorated chick, bunny, and lamb-themed desserts.
The restaurant is also known for its hot Badger ham and rolls. Since they’ll be closed this week for Easter Sunday, they’ll continue serving the Sunday favorite on Sunday, April 12.
