GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There’s a ton of excitement in Green Bay as the Packers kicked off their 80th training camp Wednesday, July 23. The team thinks they have a championship caliber roster, so what’s the message in the locker room to turn Super Bowl dreams into reality?

“We’re capable of doing some really good things but we got to be willing to do the work. Are you willing to do all of the little things that it takes, because it takes a lot," Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur said.

"Day one is still everybody gets back and the first couple of days back in the building. The excitement energy is there. We haven’t been on the field together for about a month so it’s just exciting, you get the fans out there. It’s just fun to go out there. Get the nerves out and get back to ball," said Jordan Love, Packers quarterback.

This is Love’s third year as a starter, in the first two the Packers won 20 regular season games, but only one in the playoffs.

"It’s definitely time," Love said. "Ever since I’ve been here like you said we’ve been a team that’s done well in the regular season. Just trying to be as smooth as possible, as consistent as possible and keep building as the season goes on to be at our best when that postseason rolls around.“

Love says the whole team is locked in right now with that first day of school level of excitement. The key to success is as the days get longer in training camp excitement wears off to find a way to stay laser focused.
