MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A new restaurant located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward is preparing to open its doors to the public.
The Edison, located at 322 N. Broadway, features a speakeasy-inspired bar and new American cuisine, and is a part of the Benson’s Restaurant Group. Its grand opening will take place on Wednesday, July 5.
Patrick Erdman, General Manager of The Edison joined us on Wednesday to share details.
The restaurant aims to offer "new American" cuisine, including coal-fired butcher’s cuts and seafood options such as the shaved prime rib sandwich, lobster or porterhouse steak. Classic dishes like mushroom casserole, fish & chips, crème fraiche pancakes and brioche french toast are also on the menu.
The Edison's bar will showcase a selection of distilled spirits, cocktails, local draft beers and a selection of wine.
For those interested in career opportunities at The Edison, applications for front of house and back of house operations are being accepted through the Benson's Restaurant Group website. Reservations can be made via OpenTable.
