MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- On Thursday, Feb. 19, Summerfest unveiled its official lineup for the 2026 festival -- and the celebrations continued into Saturday, Feb. 21 for the lineup launch party held at Discourse Coffee.

The event featured free Summerfest merch, ticket prizes, live music from a DJ and special fest-themed drinks.

"We're so excited. We moved here three years ago, and it is our favorite Milwaukee event every single summer, like I just look forward to it every year," said Emily Totzke, one of dozens at the party. "I think it's the community of this festival that makes it super popular."

Lucas Totzke agreed, noting that it's the city of Milwaukee that brings it all to life.

"You have the Summerfest lagoon there and it shows off the lake as well so having that picturesque area too for the Summerfest is great in my opinion," Lucas Totzke said.

Officials told CBS 58 the party is meant to get people amped up and excited for the 58th annual world's largest music festival.

"In just under about 119 days we're going to be welcoming every one down to the grounds for Summerfest," said Jerrod Woods, Senior Director of Marketing, Milwaukee World Fest. Inc. "For us obviously, the community is a big aspect. Our fans, we wouldn't be around for 58 years if we didn't have our incredible fan base so for us, this is obviously a fun way to give back, celebrate with our fans and keep the party going... being 58 years for a festival is pretty unheard of so for us to continue to have those fans who love to come back no matter what, it really does mean everything to us and we're so thankful for all of our fans continued support and the Milwaukee community's support."

Summerfest kicks off on June 16 and 17 with a live performance from Garth Brooks.
