The City of Milwaukee Gives Itself An "Average" Grade for Snow Removal

If all goes according to plan, the snow should be removed from all city of Milwaukee streets after Monday night.

The Department of Public Works says it normally takes 18 to 24 hours for the job to get done. However…a stronger, longer lasting storm over the weekend put a kink in the plans.

Many we spoke with today didn't give the department much slack, especially one man who received a $40 dollar parking citation.

The city's snow emergency will remain for another night. The DPW wants folks to continue to pay attention to the parking signs, and the department thanks everyone for their patience. Meantime…trash and recycle pickup will resume on Wednesday. You're also advised to clear the snow away from all bins.
