Temps expected to run below average this week

The cold front is through the area ushering in below average temperatures the rest of the week. Highs won’t be too chilly still staying in the upper 40s and low 50s this week. This time of year, temps should be in the mid-50s with overnight lows in the low 40s. Lows will be running below average as well, especially the next two nights, which will be around freezing.

High pressure will be the main weather maker until late this week. An upper-level trough will dig into the region by Thursday night and Friday giving way to a chance of showers. It could be a cool, cloudy weekend with highs in the 40s. The trough moves out early next week and this should help jump-start a steadier warming trend.
