Teenager Arrested for Having Loaded Gun on School Grounds after Traffic Stop

 A 17-year-old in Racine was charged with having a firearm on school grounds and possession with intent to deliver or manufacture on Tuesday.

Racine Police Department noticed a sedan traveling west bound on Northwestern Avenue toward their squad and then turn into Gilmore Middle School’s driveway.

The officer’s believed they were trying to avoid the police.

According to the criminal complaint, the neighborhood is known to be a high drug trafficking area.

The officer pulled the car over because the driver did not have his seat belt on.

In the car the officer found several knotted plastic baggies containing marijuana.

In the driver’s seat was a loaded revolver.
