Teen shot at 44th & Burleigh near local Boys and Girls Club

A teenager was shot and wounded near 44th and Burleigh Wednesday evening, not too far from a Boy's and Girl's Club.

Police sealed off a large area after the gunfire and say the victim was struck in the arm.They're working to confirm that he's just 14 years old.

Just two weeks ago, a nearby worker recalled as he watched a woman walking down the street get her purse ripped off her shoulder.

\"It's an ugly situation,\" Michael Palmre told CBS 58's Sachelle Saunders. \"Ya know, it's sad to see people going against each other like that.\"

No immediate motive was disclosed by investigators.

CBS 58 News crews noticed several surveillance cameras in the area. We're waiting to find out if they've given detectives any clue as to the identity of the shooter.
