MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Headliners have been announced for TRUE Skool's Summer Park Jam, with Grammy Award-winning group Arrested Development, led by Milwaukee native Speech, and iconic rapper Wordsworth set to perform.

The two-day event will mark Hip Hop's 50th anniversary, taking place Aug. 11-12 at the MPAC Outdoor Grounds. In its fifth year, the event aims to highlight and celebrate all elements of Hip Hop culture.

The milestone anniversary of Hip Hop's creation falls on Friday, Aug. 11. The Summer Park Jam festivities will commence at noon with the “CEO Sessions," aimed at local creative entrepreneurs and educators. Alongside Wordsworth, professionals like Makalya Binter, a cross-branding specialist and graphic designer, will contribute to discussions and workshops until 4 p.m.

The following day, Saturday, Aug. 12, the Park Jam continues with an all-ages outdoor festival at the Peck Pavilion. Activities include live performances, local vendors, skateboarding, live graffiti art and breakdance competitions.

At 7 p.m., Arrested Development, led by Milwaukee's own Speech, will perform, free and open to the public.

Presented by TRUE Skool and supported by Marcus Performing Arts Center and others, the Summer Park Jam is part of year-long programming to honor Hip Hop arts and education.
