Suspect Pointed Semi-Automatic Hand Gun and Claimed to have a Bomb at Bank in Reeseville
A man walked into a bank in Reeseville on Monday and pointed a semi-automatic hand gun at a teller and demanded money.
The Watertown Police Department is investigating a bank robbery occurring at the State Bank of Reeseville yesterday afternoon.
It occurred at 2:53 PM.
The suspect is described as a white man.
He approached a teller displayed a large frame black semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. The suspect also left a camouflage back-pack on the floor stating it was a bomb with a motion device.
According to Watertown Police Department, the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller. The Suspect fled bank on foot through the south doors and is believed to have left the bank lot in a vehicle.
The suspect is described as a male/white, 6’00 tall, 180 pounds, age 25 to 35. At the time of the robbery he was wearing white long sleeve shirt, brown straw fedora type sun hat with a band, tattoos on left side of neck covered with a large Band-Aid, and a pink hand towel around his neck.
The Watertown Police obtained the assistance of the Milwaukee Police Department Bomb Squad and Federal Bureau of Investigation to safely remove from the bank and dispose of the purported bomb in the camouflage back pack. The back pack did not contain explosives.
