Suspect in Madison shooting dies from self-inflicted wound

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Madison police say a man accused of killing his friend during an argument and then shooting himself has died.

Police say the 35-year-old suspect died Tuesday morning. The Dane County Medical Examiner identified him Wednesday as Ger Lee, of Madison. He had been in the hospital since Sunday night, when the shooting occurred.

The medical examiner identified the victim as 30-year-old Kubb Herr, of Madison, who was visiting the suspect at his apartment.

The homicide was Madison's seventh of 2017.
