Suspect in custody following fatal hit-and-run crash in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A woman is in custody in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Milwaukee on May 24.
Authorities say the crash happened around 6:53 p.m. near S. Layton Blvd and W. Evergreen. The suspect hit a pedestrian and left the scene.
The 55-year-old female victim died from her injuries.
Later, the suspect, a 50-year-old woman was found and taken into custody.
Milwaukee Police continue to investigate the incident.
