Summit hospital holds party for triplets' first birthday

SUMMIT, Wis. (CBS 58) – It’s a special Mother’s Day for the Malack family of Hartland.

Their triplets, Logan, Hannah, and Blake are celebrating their first birthday. They were the first set of triplets born at Aurora Medical Center in Summit so the hospital decided to throw them a birthday party.

Their mom, Susan, reflected on what life has been like in the past year with three babies.

“We knew we’d get here, but we didn’t know how hard it would be or how fun it would be,” Susan Malack said. “My husband and I are so proud of ourselves, our families, our babies. We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help. My family, the hospital, we’re just really happy to be at this point.”

The triplets didn’t have to share a birthday cake on Friday. The hospital gave them each their own. The triplets will turn 1 on Saturday, May 12.
