MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Summerfest is holding a drive-up donation event on Saturday, October 10 to benefit the Hunger Task Force and Next Door.
The drive-up will be held from 12-3 p.m. in front of the South Gate of Henry Maier Festival Park.
People who donate the following items will receive one free ticket to Summerfest 2021:
- Three (3) cans of non-perishable, healthy food items, canned low-sodium vegetables, or fruit in 100% juice are appreciated, benefiting Hunger Task Force
- New or gently used children’s books with a $10 value, benefiting Next Door
"We've never done this before," Summerfest spokesperson Sarah Smith-Pancheri said. "We know Milwaukee is exceptionally generous and we know that hey want to help. People love Summerfest so we're hoping for a great crowd again managed socially distant."
