Summerfest announces free, discounted promotion days for 2021 schedule

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Summerfest announced the 2021 admission promotions schedule on Monday, Aug. 2.

Thursday, Sept. 2

Johnson Controls Stomp Out Hunger Day with FOX 6 Milwaukee between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Donate three healthy non-perishable food items and receive one free admission ticket. Donations will be accepted at all three gates. 

Each individual who visits here between July 15 and Aug. 15 and donates a minimum of $10 to Hunger Task Force will receive an offer code for one free admission ticket. 

Friday, Sept. 3

Northwestern Mutual Make A Child Smile Day between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.: The first 2,5000 patrons who donate new or gently used children's books with a $10 minimum value will receive one free admission ticket. 

Download the Summerfest app fueled by Pepsi: You can claim a free ticket when you download the app, which is coming soon. There will be 10,000 free digital admission tickets offered for this promotion. Tickets are valid from 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. There is a limit for one ticket per device. 

Saturday, Sept. 4

Lou Malnati's Children's Fest Day with TMJ4: All patrons arriving between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. will be admitted for free. There will be children activities, including the Lou Malnati's Map of Fun and the Family Ticket Package drawing. Select food vendors will offer discounts on food and beverage items. 

Thursday, Sept. 9

Throwback Thursday presented by Pick 'N Save from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Pick ‘n Save shoppers can earn four free Summerfest tickets for every $50 spent at Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market locations using a Fresh Perks Card from June 30 to Aug. 10.The offer is printed at the bottom of the receipt and must be redeemed in person at the Summerfest ticket windows at the entry gates. There is a limit of three offers/12 tickets per transaction.

Friday, Sept. 10 

Briggs & Stratton Mary Lou's Closet Supply Drive from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The first 1,500 patrons who arrive and donate hygiene supplies like deodorant, shampoo, and body wash with a total minimum value of $10 will receive one free admission ticket. All donations benefit United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County's community schools. 

Saturday, Sept. 11

Summerfest Military Appreciation Day with Generac from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

All active-duty military personnel and veterans, along with up to four family members, who present their Military ID will be admitted for free. There will be a Military Appreciation Ceremony featuring representatives from each branch of the military at 3:15 p.m. at the Generac Power Stage in partnership with the War Memorial Center. 

Thursday, Sept. 16

Direct Supply Seniorfest Day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All patrons 60-years-old and older will be admitted for free when they present their ID at any gate. Admitted seniors will also receive a voucher for $2 off of a food or non-alcoholic beverage purchase over $10. 

Friday, Sept. 17

Show Your College Pride Day with OnMilwaukee: Participating colleges or universities will receive one free admission ticket. Tickets are only valid between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Only shirts or hats from the following colleges or universities will be accepted:

  • Alverno College
  • Concordia University
  • Carroll University
  • Herzing University
  • Milwaukee Area Technical College
  • Milwaukee School of Engineering
  • University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
  • University of Wisconsin-Parkside

Additionally, all students, faculty members, and staff from each participating university/college will receive a code from their respective school, valid for admission to Summerfest on Sept. 17. 

New this year, high school students can receive free admission on Sept. 17 between noon and 5 p.m. if students complete a free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Sept. 16.

Saturday, Sept. 18

Summerfest Fan Appreciation Day

All patrons arriving between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. will be admitted free. 

Versiti Donate Life Drive

Those who donate blood at a Versiti Blood Center mobile drive between July 6 and Aug. 22 will receive access to one free general admission ticket.
