Summer Gallery Night MKE returns this weekend with 50+ art venues
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- From sculptures to theaters, you just need to open your eyes to see Milwaukee's third ward is a living canvas.
This Friday and Saturday, summer gallery night is back with more than 50 art galleries and other venues that will host artists. Each spot will offer a unique exhibit and experience.
"Get together with some friends or a date night and see really great exhibition,' said Kim Storage of Kim Storage Gallery.
The gallery is located on the fourth floor of the Marshall Building.
Storage hosts 20 artists throughout the year. Right now, you'll find the abstract paintings of April Behnke on display.
"This exhibition is called Mind Game and it's a Chicago based artist, April Behnke, and she does abstract paintings, and so the theme of her show is perpetual play. When you look at her work, you'll see a lot of different patterns going on, you'll see stripes or diamonds," said Storage.
Kim Storage gallery is one of many in the Marshall Building and the surrounding area, making the third ward a great place to hop around from gallery to gallery.
