WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Waukesha family is thankful for community support as Benny Thielitz is fighting for his life.
He was diagnosed this past November with leukemia.
On Friday, Waukesha North High School sold t-shirts and bracelets during a basketball game. The family says they're grateful for everything that has been done to help.
"I think it's just been such a blessing to our whole family and so many different ways. It's helped us financially and it's helped us kind of boost morale and help them get through a tough time," said Betsie Thielitz.
The family has a YouCaring Page set up to help with medical expenses. It's raised over $13,000 since November.
