Submerged car found off Oak Creek boat launch

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities in Oak Creek discovered a vehicle submerged in approximately six feet of water off the Bender Park Boat Launch Friday, Aug. 20. 

The Oak Creek Fire Department said deputies with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office indicated it was possible the vehicle had been in the water for quite some time.

The Franklin Fire Department's Dive Team and a Milwaukee Police Department boat responded to assist in the operation.

It was determined the vehicle was unoccupied, and it was removed from Lake Michigan by Ray's Towing, Inc. 

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
