Students wanted! American Family Insurance and Milwaukee Brewers host 2022 'Fearless Dreamer' scholarship program

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (CBS 58) -- Applications are now open for the 2022 American Family Insurance, Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) Fearless Dreamer Scholarship Program. 

Five scholarships will be given out to students looking to pursue the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, with a special focus on Black, Indigenous and other ethnicities and students of color. 

Eligible applicants must be a graduating senior (or a high school graduate not previously enrolled in post-secondary under the age of 25), live in Milwaukee and intend to enroll in a full-time two- or four-year accredited university pursing a STEM major. 

Five scholarships will be awarded every year are worth $2,500 per year and renewal up to four additional years, for a total of $12,500 to the recipient.

Scholarship recipients will also have access to mentoring opportunities, and are invited to participate in quarterly virtual sessions covering a variety of topics. 

Applications for 2022 scholarships will be accepted from Feb. 1 to March 15, 2022 at 3 p.m., with announcement of recipients made in the May-June 2022 time period.
