Student arrested in Nicolet High School bomb scare incident

WHITEFISH BAY -- The North Shore Fire Department confirms Nicolet High School was evacuated after a bomb scare. Students were sent to Cardinal Stritch University where they boarded buses to Glen Hills Middle School.

We're told a suspicious note was found on the second floor of Nicolet High School. During the sweep of the building, two suspicious packages were found in the building. One package was found in a first floor boy's bathroom, and another package was found on the second floor of the school. The Milwaukee Sheriff's Office bomb squad reports both packages are not dangerous.

Glendale police report they have arrested one Nicolet High School student in connection with this incident. Police say the student will be referred to juvenile authorities for charging.

Students are not being allowed inside the school, but can return to the property to retrieve their vehicles.

Parents can pick up their children at Glen Hills Middle School. If a child is not picked up from Glen Hills Middle School, they will be bused home.

School officials did confirm some students were scheduled to take the PSAT today.
