String of Tuesday shootings in Milwaukee leaves 1 dead and 6 injured
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A series of shootings were reported by the Milwaukee Police Department on Tuesday, March 28, resulting in one reported fatality and six people injured. The Milwaukee Police Department is actively investigating the incidents and searching for suspects.
Tragedy struck in the first shooting, where Milwaukee police say they started an investigation into a homicide that happened on Tuesday at around 12:20 a.m., leaving one 20-year-old man dead near Medford and 61st.
The second took place at around 1:35 a.m. near 49th and Villard, where a 21-year-old woman was injured. She was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
The third reportedly happened at approximately 3:40 a.m. near 8th and W. Atkinson, leaving a 27-year-old man injured. He was also taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
The fourth happened at around 6:30 p.m. near 15th and Lloyd, where a 30-year-old woman was injured. She was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover.
The fifth took place at 8:33 p.m. near 24th and W. Nash, with a 30-year-old man being injured. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
The sixth took place at 9:34 p.m. near 23rd and W. Hadley, where a 28-year-old man was injured. He was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover.
The seventh happened at around 9:58 p.m. near 13th and W. Melvinia, leaving a 33-year-old man injured. He was taken to a local hospital and is also expected to survive.
