Storms knock out power for tens of thousands in Wisconsin, restoration expected by midnight

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We Energies issued a statement at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 25 to say that they have restored power to over 75,000 customers that were without service due to Sunday's windstorm in the state.
They noted, "More than 95% of customers who lost power will have power restored or outage assigned by midnight tonight."
The hardest hit areas of Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties that may require special crews can reportedly expect restoration early Monday, June 26.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- According to a statement put out by We Energies, as of noon today power has been restored to more than 50,000 customers.
Their map as of right now says there are still 20,907 customers without power and that crews from all over the state are working to get power back on.
Crews are finding damaged electric equipment from falling trees and limbs.
We Energies says, "We expect the vast majority of customers will have power restored by the end of today. Customers can get the latest information for their outage, including restoration updates, on our online outage map or the We Energies app."
They warn that customers should stay at least 25 feet away from any downed wires and report the downed wire to We Energies or a local law enforcement agency right away.
