Steven Avery's Attorney Expected to File Appeal By Monday

CBS 58—Attorneys for Steven Avery are expected to file an appeal any day.

The motion must be filed by August 29. According to the Manitowoc Clerk of Courts, Avery’s Attorney Kathleen Zellner, was at the courthouse Wednesday.

Avery was convicted of killing photographer Teresa Halbach in 2005. The case was spotlighted in the Netflix Series “Making a Murderer.” Days after the series premiered, Zellner took on Avery’s case.

CBS 58 reached out to Zellner for comment, but so far she has not responded.
