SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A plan for a statue honoring a local wreslter is moving forward in South Milwaukee.
The Common Council approved the site and plans for the “Da Crusher” statue.
Da Crusher is from South Milwaukee and famous for his wrestling from 1940-1980.
“I think everyone including myself is very excited,” City attorney Chris Smith said. “Everything is moving along smoothly. We have a ton of people helping and a lot of improvements to what is a parking lot now.”
Smith says the area will feature a brick plaza resembling a wrestling ring. You can buy bricks online and have them engraved with a message.
