State Supreme Court blocks order forcing Racine school closures after Thanksgiving

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The state Supreme Court is blocking a public health order that would have forced schools in Racine to close after Thanksgiving.

The Racine Health Department issued the order earlier this month amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

A conservative law firm filed a petition with the Supreme Court against the order a week later.

The court has put the case on hold until a decision is made in a similar case filed in Dane County.
