St Paul Bridge reopens in time for lakeshore activites

MILWAUKEE -- A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the reopening of St. Paul Avenue Bridge.

The bridge, that was built in 1966, is Milwaukee's first vertical life bridge.

The bridge was under construction for nine months so that crews could replace the aging steel lift span, a concrete deck and add pedestrian railings.
