St. James Parish Festival in Mukwonago starts Friday
For 35 years now, it's something the community has been looking forward to and it keeps a neighborhood parish going.
Dan Riedel of St. Jame's Parish Festival Planning Committee was a special guest on the CBS 58 News at 4:00 p.m. to talk about the weekend long event that kicks off on Friday, August 14th and runs through Sunday, August 16th on the parish grounds at 830 County Road NN East in Mukwonago.
This year’s event will feature classic cars and motorcycles, food, live auction, and other entertainment. The festival also offers the chance to win a 2015 Chevy Cruze (or $15,000) with raffle tickets available for purchase at the festival or by contacting the parish office beforehand. Participants need not be present to win.
The Classic Car and Bike Show on Sat. Aug. 15 will be held rain or shine, with dash plaques awarded to the first 100 registrants. The Show, open to all makes and models and featuring more than 100 vehicles, will award nine participant prizes (first – third in car and motorcycle and fourth – six combined), with two Committee Choice awards and one Young Gun award. Special guests will be Captn Bob and Arlo from Wisconsin Hotrod Radio, who will be spinning music during the show.
Featured events include helicopter tours of the surrounding area during daytime hours, duck races, a food court, music, a horseshoe tournament, kids' games and rides, used book booth, a bakery booth, and other leisure activities.
